Twelfth Night

by William Shakespeare

Directed by Angela George

Picture the scenethe year is 1913; the free spirits of La Belle Époque frolic desperately through a final wild Bohemian summer as ominous clouds loom

Viola survives a shipwreck off the coast of Illyria. Believing her twin brother drowned, she disguises herself as a young man, Cesario, and finds a position with the Duke of Orsino, who is distractedly enamoured of the beautiful but melancholic Olivia.

Orsino sends Cesario to woo Olivia on his behalf, but Olivia quite naturally falls in love with the messenger

Meanwhile, the bibulous Sir Toby Belch and his cronies decide to exact revenge on Olivias austere steward Malvolio and mayhem ensues!

Our second Shakespeare production was every bit as spectacular and surprising as A Midsummer Night's Dream, with delightful, flamboyant costumes, dance and specially-composed live music all guaranteeing a memorable evening.
